Tutorials

Each solver of CFDEM®coupling comes with at least one tutorial example, showing its functionality and correct usage. Provided that the installation is correct, the tutorials can be run via the included Autorun.sh script, see Run a simulation for more details.

Validation cases

CFDEM®coupling is being validated constantly and extensively and many results can be found in in peer-reviewed publications. Specific cases which are validated against analytical and, especially, experimental results are highlighted in this section:

Setups for different particle shapes

Simulation setups can easily be expanced to the different particle shapes available in CFDEM®coupling (i.e, spheres, multispheres, superquadrics and convex). The following setup gives a concise example in the required steps and options:

Further highlighted tutorials

This section collects and documents different simulation setups including the models used and expains what certain models are used for in the specific setup. Please note that the list of cases presented here is by no means exhaustive. There are more setups available in the tutorials folder of your CFDEM®coupling release.
