cohesion model liquidbridge/general/solidify
cohesion model easo/capillary/viscous/solidify
cohesion model washion/capillary/viscous/solidify
Purpose
A liquid bridge model that gets converted to solid bonds if a liquid content threshold is exceeded.

Depending on the chosen liquid bridge models the options can be found in the documentation of the liquid bridge general, the easo/capillary/viscous or washino/capillary/viscous models.

Associated material properties
All material properties of the corresponding liquid bridge and the bond model must be added to this model as well but they are not listed below.

relativeLiquidBondVolumeLimit(
): relative liquid
volume present in a liquid bridge which is required to form a solid bond
[
]
Description
This model combines a liquid bridge model with the bond model by converting a liquid bridge to a solid one if the
liquid content in the bridge between two particles exceeds the threshold given
by
, the relative surface liquid limit.
This model can be used as part of a particle contact model and a wall contact model
This model is available for all three liquid bridge models currently available in Aspherix:
and can be activated by appending /solidify to the name of the respective
cohesion model. The model computes the liquid content that is contained in the
liquid bridge
and if the condition

where
is the sum of the particle volumes that are in contact
with each other, is true, then the liquid bridge contact model is disabled and
instead a solid bond is created.
Note, the volume contained in the liquid bridge depends on the lbVolumeFraction parameter, i.e. only a fraction of the liquid content of the two particles accounts for the liquid volume that forms the liquid bridge.
Restrictions
None.
Coarse-graining information:
Using coarsegraining in combination with this command might lead to different dynamics or system state and thus to inconsistencies.
