Description

The absorptionEmissionCFDEM model picks up the Euler fields for particle absorption coefficient and particle emission from the particle radiation coupling model (ie. LaEuScalarRadiation) and provides these fields to the radiation model. (ie. P1CFDEM)

Note

The absorptionEmissionCFDEM model only accounts for the particle’s contribution ot the absorption and emission coefficients for the Eularian fields. To account for the absorption and emissivity of the fluid as well the absorptionEmissionCFDEM model must by embedded inside an OpenFOAM binary model along with an appropriate absorption-emission model for the fluid.

  • useParticleAbsorptionCoefficient = switch to apply particle absorption coefficient in radiation equation (does not affect radiation coupling model) (default: true)

  • useParticleEmission = switch to apply particle emission in radiation equation (does not affect radiation coupling model) (default: true)

  • AbsorptionCoeffFieldName = name of absorption coefficient field provided by radiation coupling model (default: ap)

  • EmissionFieldName = name of emission field provided by radiation coupling model (default: Ep)

Note

The absorptionEmissionCFDEMCoeffs sub-dictionary entry can be ommitted to fall back on the defaults (recommended). Configuring the sub-dictionary is not recommened.
